Wildfarm Homestead is a working off-grid farm 25 minutes from George, high above Wilderness on the Garden Route, and we hire the place out for weddings, parties and functions of up to 120 guests. From R5,000 venue hire, catering from R320 a head, music until 2am — and no load-shedding, because we run on sun.
You get the deck, the braai, the wood-fired pizza bar and the sunset over the Outeniqua Mountains. Your guests can sleep over so nobody has to drive home, and if it rains the marquee tent covers the whole party.

Weddings on a farm near George
Wildfarm is a farm wedding venue for couples who want the Garden Route without the banquet-hall feel. Ceremony on the deck or under the trees, reception on the deck with the Outeniqua Mountains going orange behind you, and the whole guest list — up to 120 people — in one place.
Music can play until 2am. We do the food ourselves (catering from R320 per head, or wood-fired pizzas from the bar), or you bring your own suppliers. There are rooms on site for you and your guests, which means the party doesn’t end because someone has to drive back to George at midnight. And if the weather turns, the tent holds all 120 of you.
We’re 24 minutes from George, 31 minutes from George Airport and 50 minutes from Knysna — easy for guests flying in, and close enough for a George or Mossel Bay crowd to come through for the evening.

Kids’ parties on a real farm
600-odd metres above the lagoon with dogs, chickens, open veld and space to actually run. Parents get the deck and the view; the kids get the farm. Pizza bar on, and a tent if the weather misbehaves.

Stay over and pay less for the venue. Book the accommodation for your group as part of the function and your venue hire comes down — the more of your party that stays, the better the rate we give you.

These are worked off our opening rates, so treat them as a floor rather than a quote. Your price moves with how many guests you have, how many nights your group stays, and how you set the place up. Send us those three things and you’ll get a real number — usually the same day.
Food & drink
The wood-fired pizza bar is the easiest way to feed a crowd here, and it’s what most of our functions do. If you’d rather we handle a full spread, catering is R320 per head — tell us your numbers and any dietary needs when you enquire.
Prefer your own people in the kitchen? You’re welcome to bring your own caterer at no charge — some groups bring a family favourite, some bring a whole team. Either way the bar is a cash bar on the farm, so drinks are one less thing to organise.
Stay the night — and pay less for the venue
Wildfarm has rooms on site, which does two things: your guests don’t drive home after the party, and your venue hire gets cheaper. Groups who take the accommodation get the best rate we offer. If you’re hosting something bigger, we host work crews too.

Frequently asked questions about venue hire at Wildfarm
How much does venue hire cost at Wildfarm?
Venue hire starts at R5,000 and comes down when your group also books the accommodation. Food is R320 per head — or bring your own caterer for free. Extras are R2,500 for the tent and R2,500 for the sound system, and accommodation is R350 per person. Send us your date, your guest numbers and whether you’re staying, and we’ll quote you properly.
How many guests can you host?
Up to 120 guests, seated or standing. Our tent also covers 120, so the rain plan is the same size as the party.
Can we have our ceremony and our reception here?
Yes. Most couples do both — ceremony on the deck or under the trees, then reception on the deck and into the evening.
What happens if it rains?
We put up the marquee tent, which covers up to 120 guests. Rain changes the view, not the party.
How late can the music play?
Until 2am. We have our own sound system available to hire as an extra, or you can bring your own.
Is load-shedding a problem?
No. The farm runs on solar, so the music, the lights and the fridges stay on when the grid goes down.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Yes. There is no charge for bringing your own caterer, and plenty of groups do. If you’d rather not think about food at all, we cook — wood-fired pizzas or a plated spread at R320 per head. Drinks run off our cash bar either way. If you’re planning something unusual with the decor or setup, tell us what you have in mind when you enquire and we’ll tell you straight away whether it works on the farm.
Is there accommodation for guests?
Yes — rooms on site. Guests who stay over get a better venue rate, and nobody has to drive back to George after the party.
