Wildfarm Homestead is a working off-grid farm 25 minutes from George, high above Wilderness on the Garden Route — and it’s a brilliant place for a kids’ party. Space to run, animals wandering around, a pool table, wood-fired pizzas the kids actually eat, and a deck where the grown-ups can sit and watch it all happen. We host parties of up to 120 people, from venue hire from R5,000.
Why a farm beats a party venue
- Room to actually run. Kids don’t do well in a hall. Here there’s grass, trees, a lookout deck and open farm — they burn it all off and sleep on the way home.
- Real farm animals. Our dogs and chickens are part of the furniture — for most kids from town, that’s the highlight of the whole day.
- Pizza from the wood-fired oven. No cold party packs. Pizzas at R320 per person, or bring your own food and cake for free.
- Parents get to sit down. A deck, a view, a cash bar and shade — the adults end up staying longer than they planned.
- No load-shedding. The farm runs on solar, so the music, fridges and lights don’t die halfway through the party.
- Space for a marquee or activities. A tent that covers all 120 if the weather turns, at R2,500.

Bigger parties are quoted the same way as any function: date, numbers and whether families are staying over. Smaller groups — tell us how many kids and we’ll tell you what works.
What the venue hire includes
Your venue fee covers the farm for your booked time — the kids get the run of it:
- The deck, the bar area and its pool table, the lawn and the lookout deck
- The whole farm as your backdrop — 360° views over the Wilderness valley
- Solar power, so no load-shedding — the lights, music and fridges stay on all night
- A cash bar on site, so nobody drives out for drinks
- Space and seating for up to 120 guests
- Bringing your own caterer, food and decor at no charge
- Access during the day to set up before your guests arrive (arrange it with us when you book)
Quoted separately because you choose them: food from our kitchen at R320 per person, accommodation at R350 per person, the marquee tent at R2,500 and the sound system at R2,500. Nothing else is added afterwards — the number we quote you is the number you pay.
What we can’t promise on this page: if your booking needs a deposit schedule, an invoice for your finance team, specific accessibility arrangements or anything written into a supplier contract, tell us on the form. That gets answered by a person, not by a price table.

Families who stay over get a better venue rate. If half the party is sleeping on the farm anyway, book the rooms as part of the party and your venue hire comes down. It also means nobody drives home with tired kids at night.
Good to know
- It’s a working farm. Adult supervision is expected — kids are welcome to explore, with an adult keeping an eye. The dogs are friendly and the chickens are fast.
- Bring your own decor and cake. No charge for your own food, cake or decorations. If you’re planning something unusual, tell us and we’ll say whether it works on the farm.
- You can arrive early to set up — arrange it with us when you book so the party is ready when the first guest arrives.
- Day parties or the whole weekend. Plenty of families make a night of it and drive back on Sunday.
